Includes a hold-down clamp to fit buyers lathe bed. New never used. Cam is c1045 carbon steel in 'turned, ground, and polished' condition.
During assembly, all moving parts were greased with Teflon impregnated grease. Painted with rustles new hammered enamel in 'gold rush' color.
Custom designed and made in the USA. Tool support base aka 'banjo. Some background. Handle for the tool post lock is o-1 steel.
Banjo-to-bed hold-down stud is 4140 chrome-Molly steel, 5/8 NF thread. Stronger and more rugged than standard banjos: weighs about 50 my Powermatic 90 banjo. Tool post lock is 1144 stress-proof steel, 5/8 x NF thread. Over the past 35 years, i've restored more than 100 wood turning and metal-turning lathes.
Dimensions capacities are similar to the Powermatic 45 and 90 banjos. Total height 4 inches.Period no quibbling.
Excellent condition. With proper tool rests, fits 12 and larger wood lathes by Powermatic model's 45 90, delta, rockwell, oliver, jet etc.
Made with high quality materials. Designed for use with and 1 diameter tool post shanks. Cam handle is solid brass.
