Details:

It is hard to read but I think it says l233 3 on the base and l233 3 on the safety cap. It is from the to the bottom of the headstock. May have been re painted I didn't do it. This head has a 1 diameter spindle with 8 threads per inch on the inside the outside shaft is round about 3/4 diameter the threads are somewhat worn but take a clockwise mounted face plate OK.

One of the hinges for the protective cap or cover is broken see last picture. This is a very heavy headstock assembly made of heavy steel and cast iron from a vintage Wood lathe about 13 swing with a bed with about 5/8 between ways or rails.

Takes 2 Morse taper centers.

The mount for the head lifts it higher off the bed. Wear and tear rust pitting and dust and dirt but in good working good condition. It also looks like a piece of the front was cracked and welded it still fits well and does its job.
